Four years in the making, this song .... MIGHT finally be done. There are many differences from the original, an expanded atmospheric instrumental and electronic vocals, yet the powerful narrative remains intact.

I am a guitarist who simply enjoys to record music in his spare time. The music I play is most often tied to similarities in progressive and classic rock, though I like to open myself to many different styles. I emphasize powerful lyrics revolving around unique concepts of deep thought and emotion looked at through different perspectives. The music I use to back this up and intertwine with the lyrical attitudes, ending with an overall nice composition as result. This is primarily a passion of mine, though I am looking to get more serious about it. Click on the shirt to view this and other apparel products from Mushroom Man Music.

Story behind the song
This is a story that explores the many faces of suicide through various perspectives, including loved ones, the victim, and superior beings of a higher power. This is not so much an expression of religious views, at all really, so much as it is a metaphor for self-loathing and reaching rock bottom after an unsurmountable high, among other things.
Lyrics
As I walk I can see A funeral in the cemetery I enter to see who died And on the grave I find It is me And for once I was happy Right when I saw them As they looked so sad When they said… That I took my own life From the pain I had to fight Does the rain fall from the sky? Or does it fall from the many loss-filled eyes? Yet I knew I don’t regret And I don’t Dare forget That my pain is on them As they cry… Rest in peace little child And we’ll mourn you all awhile Remember those times You were close to our lives Rest in peace little child And we’ll mourn you all awhile Remember those times You were close to our lives And just then I rose up Into the clouds above Once there I would find It’s true paradise I thought she was gone But here I’m proved wrong And now once again We were with each other hand in hand Yet angels Pity-filled Showed themselves Once I knew That it was fake For they sang… Rest in peace little child And they’ll mourn you all awhile Remember those times You were close to their lives Rest in peace little child And they’ll mourn you all awhile Remember those times You were close to their lives And once then I was thrown Into the flames below I had taken a life Even though it was mine Punished with such pain Barely stirred my brain Yet their point would be shown Once they brought back the loss I had known Only now It never stops And now I’m left to rot Feeling so trapped As I scream… Rest in peace little child And you’ll mourn me all awhile Remember those times I was close to your lives Rest in peace little child And you’ll mourn me all awhile Remember those times I was close to your lives Amongst all the scorching pain Everything came back to me And now that it's too late I realize the mistake I made After a day is gone they forget All the remorse they had felt But the only one who truly misses me Is myself
