Refinery Turnarounds mean working long hours and there is a lot of travel involved in going from one refinery to another. So a person can miss out on the important things in life, it's as if life passes you by.
Records original songs mostly in the Blues and Blues Rock genre.
I am a songwritter/muscian/performer who basically writes and record's my own songs.
Story behind the song
I've worked in a lot of refinery turnarounds as an API-510 inspector, I've worked all around the world and because of this type of work I have been away from the really inportant things in my life, family and friends.
Lyrics
Turnaround Blues
( By James Scott 3-19-06)
VS-1:
I’ve been working 12 hours every single day,----working seven days, seven days a week, -----I don’t have no time--- for- my- fam-imly,
VS-2:
I’m out on the road, trying to keep my sanity,---- I miss weddings, birthdays and an-ni-ver-se-ries,----life on the road, ain’t where I want to be,
Chorus:
I’ve got the turnaround blues,----I’ve got the turnaround blues,---- I’ve got the turnaround blues, the turnaround blues,---- I make my living- working in re-fin-er-ies,
Interlude;
VS-3:
I make good money but I miss my fam-i-ly, keep getting older, I feel like I’m sick,-----I’m always tired,- I have no energy,
Chorus:
I’ve got the turnaround blues,----I’ve got the turnaround blues,---- I’ve got the turnaround blues, the turnaround blues,---- I make my living- working in re-fin-er-ies,
Ending

Top class blues song that many will be able to relate to. Love that laid back, moody style. Great work with the vocals - very nice timbre and delivery.
