Alernative rock, radio friendly, four guys playing music, acoustic, electric, drums, bass, the songs tell a story, good music
It's just me...and a few friends. Hi - I'm Tobin. I write and sing songs. Most of my songs are written on with the acoustic guitar and then transposed to other instruments. I tend to write songs with a story/background. I think it's important to put thought into making music. It's not just a bunch words thrown together or some crappy melody. It's something I actually thought about. I know that when you really listen, you'll hear what I have to say.

Story behind the song
When I was in elementary school there was a girl named Barbie. Red curly hair, special shoes and a metal back brace. Not too pretty. I've thought of her often and wondered how her life had turned out. Did she morph into a butterfly? I couldn't knock the vision of her coming home everyday to a loving mother who would tell her just how beautiful she was. I hope she got the love she deserved. This song is for her.
Lyrics
She's got her back brace on , so one day she can walk like Marilyn Monroe She's got her braces equiped, so her teeth will grow straight as an arrow She says "My mom's so nice, she calls me her beauty queen." She wears a red berret, so her hair can stay out of the sunlight She prays for cloudy days, so her white eyes can see in the daytime She says "My mom's so nice, she calls me her beauty queen." And here it is lady's and gentlemen; the most beautiful girl in the world... And now she's all grown up, and she thinks about how everything in her life's been so damn good She says "My mom's so nice, she calls me her beauty queen." Beauty Queen that's what she means - your face will sell the magazines And all the boys that were so mean will never keep the cover clean Beauty Queen that's what she means - your skin will smell like tangerines A Beauty Queen, that's what you'll always be to me
