I am the proud father of two adult children. I have been playing the guitar for various church bands for over 25 years. All of these songs are original and reflect a preference to Christian music with a country rhythm.

Story behind the song
The majestic beauty of a prairie sunset, the hauntingly magnificent display of the aurora borealis – what further proof does one need of an almighty Creator? Still there is one image, in the shape of a Roman crucifix, that reaches across time and casts a shadow into eternity. It stands as a symbol of the everlasting love and mercy of a perfect Creator toward an imperfect creation – giving comfort in our present trials and hope for our future in His presence.
Lyrics
How could a righteous God still love a sinner such as I Or leave His holy Heav’n and come to earth for me to die The debt of guilt on my account to fully satisfy It’s called mercy – and it so amazes me ! I stand in awe and watch the golden sun that’s setting in the west And when the northern lights are flashing in the sky I feel so blest, But of all the wonders in this world - when asked which one is best, It’s your mercy, Lord, that so amazes me ! At times I fail so deeply as I wander here below. It seems, for all my struggles, I’ve got nothing left to show But when I come before You, with repentant heart, I know That I’ll find mercy there, to love and comfort me And one day, soon, I’ll stand before Your throne in Heaven above Considered worthy only due to Your unchanging love No more will the accuser try my sinfulness to prove Still, Your mercy, there shall be complete for me.
