I am a guitar player. I started young, when ever I would visit a cousin of mine, I would go for the old beat up guitar he had in his toy box. I had an uncle who noticed. He bought my first guitar, and started me with lessons. The lessons lasted until baseball season started.(About six weeks) That was the end of my formal training. From there, it was an on and off relationship with the guitar, that I taught myself to play. My first book was Ed Sales Learn to Play Guitar in Seven Days. I bought it out of a comic book add. I learned G, C and D. As I grew up, I started "writing" my own songs. As a teenager I dreamt of being a rock and roll star. I "wrote" songs, and with my first guitar would record using an old reel to reel recorder, and a coffee can for drums. My friends were to be my band mates. I drew album covers, and took the fantasy as far as I could. As the years went by, I meet a few people who helped me with my playing. I eventually got my first band together in the early 90's. We mostly played at our band house, which was anywhere we hadn't been evicted from. We even had a couple of live gigs. Our last gig was just after the last eviction, and everyone wound up going their separate ways. That was in the summer of 1995. I have played the guitar for my own enjoyment since. I recently bought a computer and a music studio program, which brings me to the rest of my band. Mystercee is my computer. The songs I have now, have been composed using the computer and software. I am learning to be an engineer with the program. I have some instruments, microphone, and samples included with the music studio program. I hope you enjoy the results of my learning experience, as I continue to chase my dreams.

Story behind the song
I composed the music to this song when I was running out of time toregister my music studio program. At the time, I wasn't online and it seemed that I wouldn't get the program registered. Without registration the program was set to quit. Out of desparation, I left the program running on the last day. I got a couple more days use out of the program, and the music to this song, before the computer crashed. I eventually got the registration done, and a new song was born.
Lyrics
"Dog Daze" by John Surbaugh (c) 2008 All rights Reserved. I came into, this world alone, Spent my time, on my own, Had my friends, gathered 'round, Now I wonder, might they be found, All stand, back from me, Dog Daze, come down on me, Built a castle, in the sand, Had it all, within my hand, Then the day, it all feel down, Now my knees, have hit the ground, Dog daze, come down on you, Dog daze, leave you sad and blue, Chorus: Dog Daze, is all I see, Dog Daze, come down on me, Dog Daze, come down on you, Oh.. no!.., what you gonna do, Lightings strike, thunders sound, And the rain, keeps falling down, You know its here, its black inside, Feel a shiver, nowhere to hide, You reach a hand, your on your own, Your friends are gone, no one's at home, Your hands are tied, your feet are bound, Empty eyes, all around, Everyone points, their finger at you, Yeah brother, nothing you can do, Find a hole, crouch on down, Dog Daze, come on around, Chorus: Dog Daze, is all I see, Dog Daze, come down on me, Dog Daze, come down on you Oh... no!.. What you gonna do? Spoken: Yeah, you know it's Dog Daze when, Every dog has it's day, and Every day has it's dog. Built a castle, in the sand, Had it all, within my hand, Then the day, it all feel down, Now my knees, have hit the ground, Dog daze, come down on you, Dog daze, leave you sad and blue, Chorus: Dog Daze, is all I see, Dog Daze, come down on me, Dog Daze, come down on you Oh... no!.. What you gonna do? Dog Daze, has come for you, Oh... no!.. What you gonna do?
