Nigel Bury Swing Vocalist. Having just left a Rock band as the lead vocalist I'm still finding my feet within the jazz genre. I have found myself having to learn how to sing all over again, but thats part of the fun. I'm trying to keep a raw feel to the vocals as I don't like the influence R&B singers have had on other genres (you don't need to use the entire vocal scale to sing one note) but having said that I am still experimenting with my own voice and have started to soften the notes.
