Tommy Said Stop had a very auspicious beginning. Somewhere along the road to almost certain megstardom, however, something happened. Whether it was the abduction of bass player Lee Rankleford by angry Shiite soccer moms (and the subsequent tour cancellation in Libya) - or the almost-complete destruction of their expansive fan base by lead singer Wiggles McLeod's attempt to mind-control everyone in the audience in Schenectady, NY into thinking they were acolytes of a separatist militia headed by Richard Simmons... This question will be something perhaps music historians, and perhaps people who are bored at 3 AM in the Greyhound Bus station in downtown Chicago, will have to figure out. Either way, the party's over, and this collection of songs is all that is left of what could have been, and what was, and what will never be. And who am I? I'm glad you asked; almost no one ever did when I was the road manager of Tommy Said Stop during their Akron, OH tour. In fact, now that enough time has gone by, I feel that I need to get this off my chest: Drummer Flip Tickleshitz actually asked me on one occasion why I kept following them around!!! Um, no reason, Flip, just makin' you bunch of low-lifes into rock stars, ya freakin' freak!!! Anyway, I'm over all that, and I'm ready to show the world what most of them missed out on (except for Schenectady, Libya, and absolutely most of the citizenry of Akron, OH) - namely, one of the finest rock bands in the history of bands named Tommy Said Stop. And since I own the masters, after having traded them for a 12-pack of Black Label during a particularly vitriolic band fight, I can do what I damn well please with this music. It's all mine now.
