Lake Fork Verne and his banjo. Original country and Americana songs. Songs of yesteryear, growing up during the great depression 1930's and the way things are
Just me and my banjo...writing and singing about how things used to be long ago in the 30;s and 40's and how those experiences affect today. I started out wanting to get on record these stories and songs for my grandchildren; but after doing it for a while, others have expresses interest so we are recording and putting them out there.

Hi verne, I love this song! You amaze me with your wonderful lyrics. I planted two good Sons but they still haven't sowed the fields just yet.
What a great lyric.....'Little boys, best crop that grows,' I love this line! It so neat you remember your Dad saying it to you!! Is the picture real family photos? I also really like your main page color and layout that you have now. It's really crisp! I had never noticed before how you have sites marked on the map of the land. I enjoyed that. Sometimes authors will put a map in the book they write and I always find it helpful in putting the story together in my head. It would be the same with your music because all the lyrics tell a story of your life. Have a beautiful Autumn!! We are heading to the Smokies for the weekend. I hope to see some fall color to take some new pictures of but I'm afraid it's a bit early........even for the mountains. Love, Rosie
