Dreaming alone on a winter’s night
Crystals of snow, flowers in light
Firelight flickers are faces once know
Walk away, with the mist must roam
From this land.

Snow in the fields where the corn once swayed
Ice on the pavements where children played
Yesterday’s smile a winter’s flame
Fades with the frost ‘till the Spring comes again
To this land.

Misty swirls down the cobblestones
Whispers a tune to call home its own
A Winter’s Song, a bird’s dying call
Floats on the wind ‘till night’s curtain falls
On this land.
