This is the first song I have ever uploaded to SoundClick. I'm having a hard time placing it in any genre, so if anyone has an idea other than Electronica, please let me know. :-)
Imagine walking in a forest on a beautiful summer evening. Suddenly you think you can hear music, barely loud enough so that you can hear it. Only a piano at first. You walk in the direction of the music, and as the music gets louder you can hear more and more of the music, until you come to a small clearing in the forest.
There you can see a young couple wearing old-fashioned clothes, dancing barefoot on the grass to the music you hear. Surprised by this, you stop and stay at some distance, just watching them dance. After a little while the couple stop dancing and just embrace each other. They look at each other and smile as they remember how happy they were a long time ago, when their home was here and they were still alive. Hand in hand they walk into the forest and disappear.
You can still hear the last remnants of the music, but eventually the sound dies out and the only sounds left are those of the forest. Birds, a creek in the distance, the wind rushing through the treetops. And you wonder if you just imagined it all. The only thing you know is that you have a nice fairytale to tell your grandchildren.
