A Christmas Love Song....A hundred ruby kisses he traced upon my skin
Story behind the song
A Christmas Love Song...The best Christmas gifts come from the heart

Poetry and Roses

He gave me poetry and roses
Daisies in a ring
A hundred ruby kisses
He traced upon my skin
I went to buy my true love
A gift for Christmas time
I searched in every window
No trinket could I find
I wished to spend a fortune
For that is what he`s worth
But the very gift I want to give
Is wonderful and scarce
No present could I find
That was worth as much as he
No verse to buy or copy
Or expensive toiletry
So a penny from the ground
To give him luck and joy
A kiss beneath the mistletoe
Is all I'll give my boy
I wondered what he`d buy me
To show me that he cares
A necklace of precious stones
Or a host of pretty wares
A golden coronet
He has stolen from a queen
A mountain of sweet pastries
A gown of lace he`d seen
He gave me poetry and roses
Daisies in a ring
A hundred ruby kisses
He traced upon my skin
Fed me with sweet fruits
Stoked feathers on my arm
All these gifts were priceless
They came from his heart
He gave me poetry and roses
Daisies in a ring
A hundred ruby kisses
He traced upon my skin
Fed me with sweet fruits
Stoked feathers on my arm
All these gifts were priceless
They came from his heart
