Story behind the song
This song is about breaking into an ex-girlfriend's house and looking over all of the things throughout her house and room that are reminiscent of your relationship together. Old photographs, notes and letters, presents. It is the realization that maybe you made a mistake in breaking up. The only thing left that you can do is apologize...but its too late for "I'm sorries."
Lyrics
Coming to terms Step into the house from the door, spread my wet feet onto the floor. Try to take some time to think within me, now I can look back an see the mistakes I've made... It wasn't supposed to be this way. *Try to understand, this wasn't in my master plan. It won't hurt for long, I'm sure that you'll find someone.* Looking over shattered picture frames, try to wipe up this glass in vain. Where was my heart? Where was my soul? Why did I walk out on you? I know now I was wrong... And that he was right all along. Glancing up at the clock, now time seems to have stopped. How I wish I could turn back the hands, relive another summer romance. But my choice has been made, it's too late for "I'm sorries." But I want you to know I'm sorry.
