Here is a little about myself: TOM TRIPP's love for country music can be traced back to his growing up on a small Kansas dirt farm. Tom was the youngest of seven children. His father was a storyteller (as his father was, and his father before him). Tom's father and mother both worked hard to keep their family fed. At the end of a long day, his father would sit next to the old coal-burning stove and tell stories about growing up in the coalfields of southeast Kansas, and of his many adventures in life. Tom learned the art of storytelling at an early age in life, and it can be heard in the stories and songs he writes today. Tom has traveled across every state in the USA but two... Alaska and Hawaii. When asked why he hasn't visited those states yet, Tom just smiles and says: "I always leave the best for last, and my life is far from over." Tom has looked down upon this old earth from the top of the Rocky Mountains. He has watched the sun rise and set over two oceans. He has traveled through the hot desert and walked upon the frozen ponds of the northland, but he has always returned to Kansas... the place where he hangs his hat. Tom Tripp is the proud parent of 4 grown children , Jason , Chris , Nicole and Gina and a Grandfather of 4.

FLAG COVERED COFFIN Written by Edward A Gowens (BMI) 2008 All of our friends were there…as they shown up to greet you For you were coming home today…from a war so far away They had placed around your neck… the beautiful Medal of Honor People filled the streets …when you came back home on that cold and rainy day Cars lined up for miles…as they rolled you down the Main Street it was Like a military parade…there were soldiers everywhere The President even called me last night…to thank you for your service And for giving us your all…while you were over there (Chorus) The Bugler played taps…On that rainy Sunday morning As they laid you down to rest…beneath that big shady tree There was a twenty one gun salute…with full Military honors In a flag covered coffin…they brought you home to me The lord took you back home … on that rainy Kansas Morning As we stood there and watched them…place you beneath that tall grass parie sod You have served here on earth…and I know you are at at peace up there in Heaven Because Your battle is over now …and now mind has just begain.. (Chorus) The Bugler played taps…On that rainy Sunday morning As they laid you down to rest…beneath that big shady tree There was a twenty one gun salute…with full Military honors In a flag covered coffin…they had brought you home to me (tag) In a flag covered coffin…they had brought you home to me (spoken during the playing of taps) "Welcome Back home Son.. your battle is over now and now you can finally rest .... in peace"..Rest In Peace
