Lyrics
Valley Park, Mo Banjo tuned E, Key of D Capo 1 Moderate Tempo D Uncle Grover had a barber chair E7 A In the basement at his place. D G D I dreaded for him to cut my hair E7 A His dull clippers put a grimace on my face D He was a good barber, A And handled the scissors really well Did his work quickly D And you could hardly tell But when it came the time A For those dull hand operated clippers It was all I could do D Grit my teeth, try not to yell D G D Best part was when he got the razor out A Shaving mug with brush and the soap Sharpen the razor on the strap D Shave the back of your neck and side-burns G D Remove the cover sheet from your back A Swirl it around and make it pop Sprinkle cool Brilliantine on your hair D Comb it, part it, and pat your head on top G D Then you knew, he was thru A And you could move about again Run outside where the sky was blue D Away from those dull clippers again. E7 A D tag: Those dog-gone clippers really hurt!
