Trash-pop, guitar rock and melodic miscellany.
Not so much a band as a bloke with a guitar and a laptop, The Smivets deliver a genre-bending blend of pop, rock, punk, prog and many other monosyllables.

Lyrics
Does your conscience make you sweat? Haven't managed to get The job done yet? And the promises you made - Empty words I'm afraid Won't get you paid. Does your conscience make you ill, When you notice you're still On the treadmill? And the promises you break... Inevitably make The same mistake: I will, I will get off the treadmill I will, I will get off the treadmill Does your conscience make you weep? Guilt conspiring to keep You from your sleep? And your anger makes you cry, Powerless to deny The threadbare lie. Every day pans out the same In the slavery game, But who's to blame? Countless days and nights you spend; Waking nightmares that tend To never end. I will, I will get off the treadmill I will, I will get off the treadmill What have you got to show For all the times you had to go To give your time to someone else Instead of living your life yourself? Making the profits for the bosses Never thinking of the losses To your family and your wife And now you've wasted half your life 'Cause you're a workaholic You bet your life upon it Your a workaholic A stupid workaholic! Will they miss you when you're gone? Watch while they just bring on Another one! And why can't you simply quit? Aren't you forced to admit You enjoy it. I will, I will get off the treadmill I will, I will get off the treadmill I will

Excellent alternative stomper! Very Foo Fighters! Reminds me a bit of "London Calling" by the Clash. Nice job!

Darker than the usual stuff. Can I give this six stars? Great lyrics, clean sounding but very effective arrangement. Nice contrast between beginning and the finale (light and shade, man). Reminds me a bit of Magazine.

I agree with Rodrica, you put your own stamp on the many styles you venture into. Classy stuff Steve. Great sound and production.
