Trash-pop, guitar rock and melodic miscellany.
Not so much a band as a bloke with a guitar and a laptop, The Smivets deliver a genre-bending blend of pop, rock, punk, prog and many other monosyllables.

Lyrics
Made no case for taking shade Thought it's been a hot day The air's too heavy And the clouds can't roll away Sky turns the colour of anger Wind starts to find its voice Calling the storm down Almost joyous And you know it's coming Power taking form Something about the storm "Took your time to call" she said, "What the hell took you?" "It may surprise you, But I don't answer to you". First drops like warning shots Malice of the gale Black sky, thunder Lightning and hail God it's coming Don't say you've not been warned Something about the storm And when the stom is over And the air is clear Let's forget the words we said Just come over here Sunshine feels like the sky's trying To apologise to the earth Before they get better Things sometimes have to get worse You knew it was coming Now we're safe and warm Something about the storm

Yes, Robin Trower. I like the way you mixed the keyboards in there. Great vocals, and guitar...as usual ;). I LIKE IT "Steve-O"! "Wet"

Hey Steve, This is real 'Heavy', a real surprise . . . fantastic direction you've taken on this one. Have you been digging out your old Robin Trower albums ? It's like a modern take on "Bridge of sighs" - one of my all time favs by the way. This is fantastic . . . more like this please.
