Story behind the song
Sunday Blues is a song about the frustrating cycle that can happen when you are "dating". I suppose it relates to my early dating life, which I am happy to report is long gone now! However, It certainly is a story that everyone can relate to on some level, and that is why I wrote it.
Lyrics
Sunday Blues - Copyright 2008 Mindi Brizendine (verse 1) The moment I saw you I fell hard and fast I knew in my heart That it would never last Had some fun Then you were done You left me hangin’ With those Sunday blues (verse 2) I don’t seem to fall for men Who treat me right They don’t ever stick around Past Saturday night Don’t know what I’m gonna do I’ve got those Sunday blues (bridge) One day, I hope I will find Someone who’s true Who’ll love me and treat me right So I will never be blue (verse 3) I just keep on tryin’ It’s no use at all Come Saturday night I know I’m bound to fall Until then, you know it’s true I’m gonna have those Sunday Blues
