Slow paced gloomy song about how he has lost everything, not only the love of his life but his friends and his accomplishments. (This song connects musically to the next song, 'Without You' in the album 'The Life Cycle of a Lonely Citizen'.)
SorExistence is a combination of Acoustic Rock, Emo, and Pop Rock. It all depends on the song. This Band reaches out to all the lonely and heart broken people
SorExistence is a One-Man-Band! The musician is Michael Moellers, currently a Kirkwood Community College student working towards a film degree and during his free time he spends it on his computer creating music, writing poetry, filming music videos, and much much more. He uses the computer generated drums to to give the music it's heart beat, while his electric guitar gives life to the tone and his unique vocals completes the deep emotional feelings that can't help but pick the lock to a person's heart. The words of each song are the most important to Michael. Most songs may seem like they mean what they say, but it's actually the underlining meaning that you have to find in order to truly understand the meaning to the songs. Every song he's ever made relates to him in some way shape or form. Like the song "My New World" from the new album "The Life Cycle of a Lonely Citizen" is about him when he was 10 and moved to a new state where he was forced to leave behind all his friends and start a new life. The main genre is rock but at times it's hard to tell the specific sub genre.
Story behind the song
This is the eleventh stage of the Life Cycle of a Lonely Citizen also known as the Depression Stage where the lonely citizen has burned up all their anger and all that's left is the depression that built up during the anger stage. This is where they start to blame themselves for the relationships down fall. This depression is also caused by the realization that after trying so hard to keep the relationship alive it died anyway and now all they have left is the memories of how great things used to be to always remind them how lonely they truly are. Before ever being in a relationship they only knew loneliness so they didn't have a reason to dread being alone, but now that they have felt the delightful pleasure of having another and for the first time feeling like they belonged, they now know how painful it is to be alone. So now that they are alone again it hurts more then anything they've ever felt before. Of course it won't last forever. Just like anger it too will eventually disappear. Anger may burn up but depression needs to heal much like a wound, so it takes a much longer time to disappear. Time heals all wounds but sometimes one must make amends in order to completely heal the wounds and move on. That is why this stage is connected to the next stage, which is the acceptance stage.
Lyrics
To whom it may concern,
This is my final goodbye,
To whom it may concern,
This is the end of my life.
What is left for my here,
But broken dreams and fallen tears,
What is left for my here,
But broken hearts and wasted years.
I tried a little too hard,
And soon enough it fell apart,
Blinded by jealousy,
While my fears controlled me.
Always afraid to fall asleep,
When death lingers in my dreams,
A nightmare away from death,
Comes closer with every breath.
What is left for my here,
But broken dreams and fallen tears,
What is left for my here,
But broken hearts and wasted years.
To whom it may concern,
I say my final goodbye,
To whom it may concern,
I have nothing to leave behind.
My greatest accomplishment,
Was surviving my own death,
And since death is ineluctable,
I now have nothing left.
With the love of my life,
Gone far away from my sight,
And with no friend by my side,
Comes the warmth of a stormy night.
The only thing that soothes my pain,
Is the darkness sprinkled with rain,
Flashes of lightening here and there,
Followed by thunder in the air.
What is left for my here,
But broken dreams and fallen tears,
What is left for my here,
But broken hearts and wasted years.
To whom it may concern,
I say my final goodbye,
To whom it may concern,
This is the end, for real, this time.
