Lyrics
Dark Demons (V1) I’m running breathless, out of reach A castaway on a lonely beach An empty shell of who I am I’m no treasure buried deep in the sand I’m running breathless, out of reach (CHORUS ) You’re the angel watching over me Chasing my dark demons out to sea You’re the one, the only, only, only one Who could ever (ever) set me free (V2 ) I’m Alice down a rabbit hole A smokin’ hookah out of control Smilin’ like a Cheshire cat I’ve gone mad and can’t get back I’m Alice down a rabbit hole (CHORUS) You’re the angel watching over me Chasing my dark demons out to sea You’re the one, the only, only, only one Who could ever (ever) set me free (BRIDGE) I’ve stepped on another crack Superstition will break my back When I’m lost four steps from hell I hear the sound of a distant bell Should I run or should I stay I can’t remember what I came to say (CHORUS) You’re the angel watching over me Chasing my dark demons out to sea You’re the one, the only, only, only one Who could ever (ever) set me free (x2) (OUTRO) Memories of the past come back To you and you and only you You’re the angel watching over me I know one day you’ll set me free
