Funky Alternative Blues Rock with an acoustic Guitar and Harp. This CD is a completely solo effort written, performed, produced and mixed in my own home studio
I’m just a working guy that loves to play music. Did some writing and recording in 2007 & ’08 and here are some of the results. I do a solo acoustic bit locally now and haven’t played in bands for awhile but who knows what's next. I’m always open to new stuff. I wrote, play all of the instruments and sing the songs that you’re hearing. Also mixed and produced them in my home studio. Still compiling enough original material to fill up a CD but I’ll soon be there. So much music and so little time! I know there are a lot of folks out there that are making music but not that many that do the entire thing. For this CD I really wanted it to be a TRULY SOLO effort! Anyway, I hope these tunes will keep you listening! Enjoy! All the Best- Acoustic Alternative Pat

Story behind the song
This is a little story about a guy trapped with a huge storm looming. He can't get out of the place because he can't get out of his head. He eventually perishes because he won't listen.
Lyrics
The Hurricane The wind is picking up now- and the rain keeps pouring down And the talking heads are panicking- telling us all ‘get out of town’ Could be the barometric pressure- or the shit storm in my head But it’s clouding up my vision- and I can’t seem to get out of bed I got a killer storm that’s closing in- but I got nowhere to go- like There’s a thousand KIA mini vans- in the left lane going slow The Cowboys round-up door to door- my disease tells me to stay And if I stayed real quiet here- maybe they’ll all just go away I could wait here till it’s over- with the hard cores on the street We got a ton of bags we carry round- and no good place to be But now the waters lapping at my door- and the wind is howling mad It’s blowing out the windows- and I fight to stay ahead But I’ve got to get on out of here- so I say a foxhole prayer Yeah I really should have listened to- those stupid talking heads So I wait here for the eye to pass- and a moment of clarity I don’t expect that anyone here- could save myself from me This calms the only peace I get - before it comes around again And there’s a thousand KIA mini vans- in the road now up ahead I got to stay above this water- but the wind it won’t let up Got almost no place left to hide- and this place really sucks I’m trying to hang on here- but my strength is nearly gone I got nothing left here in this world- that I can call my own Well I thought about those talking heads- yesterday on Channel 8 Yeah- they told me to get out of here- they said ‘evacuate’ Well I struggle here to take advice- but now my struggles over And I slip beneath the waves- like so many thousand others Well I waited for the eye to pass- and a moment of clarity I don’t expect that anyone here- could saved myself from me This calms the only peace I get- and it’s coming around again And there’s not a single KIA mini van- on the road now up ahead
