Bob Childs: Vocals, whistling, keyboard (electric piano), bass guitar, drum programming.
I am a songwriter and musician, currently residing in Santa Barbara, California. My primary instruments are keyboards and bass guitar. I find songwriting and composing to be the most rewarding facet of being a musician. I enjoy the solitude of working in my home studio and the sense of satisfaction and accomplishment I feel after finishing a new song. I have also performed live in different types of groups over the years and enjoy the adrenaline rush that only performing live can bring.

Lyrics
"Somewhere Out In The Night" Words & Music by Bob Childs. © Bob Childs 2003, 2008. All Rights Reserved. Hey you, I'm sick of you hounding me about the animosity you see. You should know by now but it seems that you don't I won't lie, to say is not quite my place. I'm caught between a rock and the hardest place. I wanna come out and tell you, Mmm, but I won't. But I'll ask you this... Don't it feel like there's something wrong? Don't it seem a little strange when he says, "It's nothing, forget about it, just leave it alone?" You've got to know that he's somewhere out in the night. He knows you're working late, out of town after midnight, But where does he go when you're not around? He's so sweet, he takes you all the way to work at the casino where you're stranded, and he's free as a bird to get what he can, and try not to get caught. And you're there, you work your fingers to the bone And like a fool, you think he's sitting at home alone pining away over you, but he's not. You give him all that you can give, a black truck, and an 8-track, and a nice place to live. And what does he give you? Lies and empty promises. You know he has cheated, and you know that he has lied. You know because you've been on the other side You've been the other woman, but who is it now? I'm going crazy with all this commotion. I'm still drowning in a sea of emotion. I can't trust nobody after all of these lies, and now I just can't keep it all inside. You know he's somewhere out in the night. Where does he go when you're gone? What will you think of me when all is said and done? What will he tell you when he's under the gun?
