God's Word presented in song and verse.
in those quiet times spent alone with Him and in His Word. After nine years composing, arranging and recording... The Alpha & Omega Suite was finished at the end of 2008 and is ready for distribution in 2009! The Suite consists of thirty five parts which span two hours and forty minutes. This inspired music praises God and His Word; introduces His laws; His doctrines; His decrees; His covenants; and His grace to those who may never be exposed to His written Word otherwise. No glory, honor, or prestige is given to this earthly vessel, only to the One Who deserves it and is worthy of it!

Story behind the song
God does not reign supreme or hold first place with the average person. From the day of our birth we grasp and cling to many unhealthy things which come between God and our heart. Though we might say we love Him and are respectful of Him, when it comes to fitting Him into our life, His true importance is often painfully obvious. The things of this world, both the pleasures and the distractions, keep us from fellow-shipping with Him in the manner He deserves. In a nutshell, our loyalties are divided. Idolatry is an area we all have a problem with. Though we might not worship gods built by the hands of men or fashioned from wood, stone or precious metals, idolatry still proves to be a part of our basic makeup. Even if we like to believe we have evolved beyond placing trust in simple trinkets, our actions betray our intellect and we show ourselves to be idol worshipers. Why is that? Because anything that maintains a position higher than God is Biblically considered to be an idol in His sight! With numerous examples from every walk of life, skripture brings forth this principle of idol worship. Occasionally God has stepped out and shown Himself in a miraculous way, leaving no doubt that He is who He says. In recorded literature there has been no greater incident than when Jehovah God responded to Elijah's prayer and manifested that He is the true 'I Am' as opposed to the 'no-am' hand-made idols. When the challenge was put forth between worshiping what is false and what is true, Jehovah enforced divine interaction with His finger of flaming justice. This happened at a time when Israel turned away from being shepherded by the heavenly Father to following idols brought into the land by wicked queen Jezebel and her contemporaries. Upon taking the throne, she wasted no time in enforcing her Phoenician-based idol worship...even to the extreme of having the priests of the Most High slaughtered and massacred! Thus Jezebel, by her extreme wickedness, set the stage for the battle of Jehovah vs. Baal... perhaps the greatest non-battle of all time. This incident is remembered in the lyrics of 'Idols In The Mud'. Unlike most popular songs, the lyrics are spoken by the villain and anti-God/anti-moral figure of King Ahab, husband of Jezebel. He was a person given great power, wealth and prestige and could have easily influenced his nation to draw close to God, but on every occasion he chose to follow the hand-made gods of his wife, even though these gods proved to be nothing more than inanimate and worthless objects of scorn. Thus when God reached out and gave clear and evident signs that He truly is the living God, Ahab's sins are made far greater and much more serious! 1 Kings 21:25 states, "There was none who sold himself to do what was evil in the sight of the LORD like Ahab, whom Jezebel his wife incited." In the same way that Ahab had many opportunities to repent, it is to our benefit to re-evaluate those things which come between us and our Lord. If we seriously desire to know God intimately, then all those little idols which we cherish and place on pedestals should be discarded into the containers of our past. Cravings and desires might have ruled our life before knowing God, but now that we belong to Him, the lusts of the flesh should reign no more! God can either be found... or He can be lost, in perspective to where our heart is.
Lyrics
_________________________________________________________________________ (Ahab's Verse 1) Back in Samaria ... you see. It was the the summer of 800... BC. When Elijah the man-of-God came walking up to me. King Ahab. I never like anything he has to plea. He tells us that the Man isn't happy upstairs. But I don't care. _________________________________________________________________________ (Jezebel's Verse 2) Seems that we aren't supposed to... be worshiping nobody... but the Jew's Deity. Seemed too narrow at the time... at least to me. Shouldn't be a crime. Anything you want to believe. So he pointed his finger at me… Jezebel. Said we're going to hell. _________________________________________________________________________ (Ahab's Verse 3) 'Course we weren't too happy or thrilled. She was the one who had all those other... men of God killed. She wanted golden gods that did as she willed. Deities made with hands. Best in the land, and skilled. They'd do her bidding. She'd control and trust after her own lusts. _________________________________________________________________________ (Elijah's Chorus 1) Shouldn't even be in this situation to test our loyalty. Having to choose between God and what is idolatry. One is real, the other's false. Elevate the Lord above mediocrity. Dealing with people who are part of Abraham's genealogy. Jehovah walked right in our midst in full transparency. Revealed Himself for all to see. Show the world His superiority. _________________________________________________________________________ (Ahab's Verse 4) Well Elijah, he challenged all the 850 priests of old stone Baal. Told them to go up top of big Mount Carmel. Build an altar and place on it a sacrificial bull. Better cry and pray that Jezebel's champ will come down to the camp. _________________________________________________________________________ (Jezebel's Verse 5) But he didn't. Failure extraordinaire! Couldn't show himself! 'Cause he's not there? Really embarrassed the 850 priests. They all hung their heads in shame. They had no god anywhere. Just a bunch of active imaginations on alert. Gods of stone and dirt. _________________________________________________________________________ (Ahab's Verse 6) Elijah unveiled what was up his sleeve. He told us, "Stay put. Don't go. Do not leave. Now watch and see something you won't believe. The one True God that you have pained and grieved.” As the pagan priests stood and viewed in awe the most amazing thing ever saw. _________________________________________________________________________ (Elijah's Chorus 2) The heavens opened wide and down came the fire. Thousands of witnesses saw what transpired. "The power of God has consumed," shouted the town crier. Jehovah is the Living God. All others are liars. Tear down those idols. Their time has expired. No longer dictating the way to live which is not required. Simply toss that idol down into the mud. Instead of loving worthless things that are simply crud. They have no value at all. We worship what is no good. What do you place on your pedestal? Is it made of wood? Can it compete with the Living God, if it only could. Vainly thinking of ourself. Not praising Him like we should.
