Along comes a man who understands God's Word clearly, with depth and is capable of teaching it with precision and accuracy! But Paul of Tarsus has not always been that way. With a desire to stamp-out the beginnings of the church, it is only after the

in those quiet times spent alone with Him and in His Word. After nine years composing, arranging and recording... The Alpha & Omega Suite was finished at the end of 2008 and is ready for distribution in 2009! The Suite consists of thirty five parts which span two hours and forty minutes. This inspired music praises God and His Word; introduces His laws; His doctrines; His decrees; His covenants; and His grace to those who may never be exposed to His written Word otherwise. No glory, honor, or prestige is given to this earthly vessel, only to the One Who deserves it and is worthy of it!

Story behind the song
Images of the young heiress garbed in combat attire dominated the media. She had metamorphasized from a victim suffering at the hands of her kidnappers to being a sympathetic compatriot to her captors! The public became stunned as they viewed images of the gun-wielding victim-turned-militant! They didn't know whether to believe their eyes or be skeptical. Was it possible this young woman had actually changed sides and become a colleague to those who had kidnapped and possibly abused her? If so, why did this about-face take place? Was she brainwashed; acting out of fear; or had she actually grown to become like-minded to her captor's radical stands? Changes like hers are not a normal, daily occurrence by any means! It's only natural to be skeptical. A few years after Christ was crucified, a similar and highly documented incident happened. Paul, a Jewish Roman citizen, was one of the most violent and skeptical persecutors of Jesus' followers. But a dramatic change happened and a 180 degree turn made him become one of Jesus biggest supporters. He had gone from being convinced of the falsehood of Jesus' claims of messiahship to being 100% convinced that Jesus was indeed who he said he was. Paul now believed that Jesus was the Son of God... sent on an important mission into our world... accomplished everything he was ordained to do... and provided a means of reconciliation with God to all who believe and commit their life to Him. Paul was not a poorly educated simpleton who might be easily fooled and deceived by crafty lies. Instead, he was highly educated; multi cultured; well traveled; cosmopolitan; expert debater; and dedicated to living an honest and sincere life. His great knowledge and resources had all pointed to Jesus as being a false prophet and impostor... or so he thought! Much to Paul's shock and amazement, he dramatically learned it was his own eyes which had been spiritually blind and unable to see! While traveling to Damascus, Paul had a personal encounter with the risen Lord! In an unprecedented and astonishing fashion Christ met Paul where he was at. This encounter temporarily blinded Paul's eyes but also gave him new sight to see the error of his ways. Now he could clearly see things the way God intended instead of the way they had appeared. Paul became a man on fire for his Lord and Savior; a man dedicated to proclaiming the truth of God's Son! Paul's encounter with Christ on the Damascus road was a dramatic life-changing experience. There haven't been other recorded instances of the resurrected Jesus taking such drastic action in an individual's life. Why did He make such an exception for this religious Jewish citizen from Tarsus? What made Paul so special that his path was crossed uncharacteristically by the son of God? What special purpose did God have for this man that He would miraculously step in and save him from the deception of his own distorted vision? God chooses wisely. After Paul's conversion, we see a man broken and molded into a person whom God could effectively use. His focus changed from being a persecutor of the church to becoming it's strongest proponent; advocate; and spokesman! Paul was no longer blind... he could see Christ clearly and vigorously proclaimed Him to the world. Paul had become the vessel God used for bridging the gap between the old and the new; the law and grace; the Jewish chosen and the beloved church of Gentiles! No other individual has ever had such an important task as the one in which God placed Paul. God's enemy was now His friend and chief spokesman! In spreading the gospel, Paul covered thousands of miles and traveled throughout numerous lands. Because of these ministerial, church-planting travels and a desire to insure every young church would mature in doctrinal accuracy and love for Christ, Paul wrote letters of encouragement or chastisement for the benefit of each congregation. It is through these letters that every believer since has benefited a
Lyrics
VERSE 1 Can you comprehend what our God has done? The mind cannot grasp, our thoughts cannot fathom. An angry soul set out to destroy God's son. This foolish man with his misguided stands. Tried to take matters into his blood-drenched hands. Claimed to speak for God though he followed his own plans. Explosive passion to end the church. Abort the babe before it matures. To punish and hit where it hurts, and complete the purge. VERSE 2 But Saul had an about-face turn-around. A blinding light shown bright all around. On the road to Damascus he was knocked to the ground. Jesus asked, "Saul why do you persecute me?" "I'm gonna change your life and set you free." Then he blinded his eyes so that Saul might see. A chosen instrument picked by the Lord. A tool to spread Christ to the world. On that dusty, dirty road to Damascus, Saul met God's Word. CHORUS... Thank you Jesus for taking all those enemies and making us your friend. Thank you for transforming the ugly and turning it so lovely in the end. Thank you for covering our filthiness and cleansing us to a pure white blend. Have you had your miracle this day? Responding to God so He can guide your way. Don't think you know it all. There's a world of truth waiting so don't delay. VERSE 3 Having sight restored so we can clearly see better. Deeper understanding comes from reading Paul's letters. Suffering for our Lord cause it's such an important matter. Spiritual growth comes by studying Paul's teachin'. Impact and change result that is far reachin'. That we might grow in Christ and learn from his preachin'. Miracles don't just happen every day, On Damascus road nor on any other. If we just take the time to pray. Foes become our brother. VERSE 4 All of us who can hear should be just like Paul. Throwing our wrong convictions up against a wall. At the feet of Christ is where we all must fall. Doesn't matter what restraints we might come from. Even if our beliefs don't include God or His son. Let's dive into living water and take that plunge. It doesn't matter where you have gone. Or dreamin' of what might have been. Stumbling as we rush into strife. On this road of life. CHORUS... Reject the world's conformity. Go against the grain. Don't miss out. We must make that choice. Why follow after the majority. Since we are branched into Christ's kingdom. Listening to His voice. Respond to God's authority. His skriptures show how to live and act. In this we should rejoice. As we walk down our own Damascus road. No longer blind but seeing all things Paul showed. Through his teachings we've been blessed. To every generation those truths bestowed.
