Alfredo's poetry, as well as his music, is entirely original, written by him. Alfredo Leon's music tells a story, warms the heart, soothes the soul, brightens the spirit, and satisfies the mind. Alfredo Leon's singing is the embodiment of sensuality, inasmuch as his sound reflects a void nothingness, a longing, waiting to be filled. You will clearly hear the passion when he pleads in 2 of his latest tracks, "Missing You Tonight," and "Meet Me In My Dreams." Alfredo Leon's music is truly SSS - SWEET, SEXY SONGS - Enjoy!

Story behind the song
I was actually talking on the phone to a lady that I strongly considered having a relationship with. However, when I really evaluated the possibility, I realized it was not the right thing to do and so did she. In our parting conversation, she stated that leading up to her next relationship or potential one, she was "taking her time." (and not rush into a relationship) I knew that was a song waiting to be written. So, I wrote it!
Lyrics
TAKIN' MY TIME (Copyright 2008 by Al Johnson) Takin' my time, just takin' my time (intro) Verse I When it comes to love, sometimes I move too fast. Sweet words with a smile, that swept me away, didn't last. One more time, love let me down. Gonna take my time love, next time around. Chours I'm takin' my time, just takin' my time. (I)Wanna fall in love so bad, but I'm takin' my time. (I)Wanna love that's gonna last, so I'm takin' my time. Just takin' my time. Verse 2 When I'm in love, I wear a special glow. Life seems to move with ease a flow. When love crashes down, so does my mood. Trying to mend a broken alone, ain't easy to do. Back to Chorus Verse 3 Sweet words with a smile, ain't no longer enough. You gotta give all you can give, if you want my love. I hope you understand and it's clear in your mind. We comes to love, I'm takin' my time. Adlib/Out Takin' my time, just takin' my time. I don't want to, but I have to take my time. I want a love that's gonna last, so I'm takin' my time. Takin' my time. How much time you takin' to get love right? Hit and miss got no depth, leave you by yourself at night. Looking good on the outside, don't mean good within. How much time takin' for true love, how much time, my friend? I'm takin' my time, takin' my time. Shout it out, shout it out, I'm takin' my time. Shout it out, shout it out, if you takin' your time.
