Story behind the song
I always wanted to write a ‘‘train’’ song! Doesn't everyone? Jim Starses and I co-wrote this one. Featuring Jason Bergman on fiddle and Woody Hill on lead guitar!
Lyrics
I'm comin' down the line.
My train is good on time.
Thinkin' 'bout the people,
towns I've left behind.
Comin' down the line, I
hope that you don't mind.
Stay for just a little while.
Wonderin' what I'll find.
Many times I believe this train of
fantasy is real, then I'll
wake up and find it's just a dream.
I got ten more miles to go.
Then my friend I'll know
my journey's end may come I'll dream no more.
But the future's like the past.
My standing still won't last.
I'll ride the rails again just like before.
I'm comin' down the line.
My train is good on time.
Thinkin' 'bout the people,
towns I've left behind.
Comin' down the line, I
hope that you don't mind.
Stay for just a little while,
wonderin what I'll find.
