303s, 808s and a dash of unpredictability. No ID has quickly become a favorite track off of San Jaya Prime's new EP--'The Ash of a Thousand Suns'. It is one part electro, another part IDM and one final part house-chords.

Artist picture
An electro, trip-hop sound, mixed heavily with sound effects that associate the mind with the deep depths of the ocean or the empty vacuum of space.
From the school of beep, making the music that the robots will dance to as they calmly help humanity off of the world's throne into a lower, safer position... while the robots run the planet from the throne.

Story behind the song
IDM normally takes the predictable beat of electronica and scatters it, creating the primary distortion for the song. What holds the standard IDM track together is a fluid synth-line. A personal favorite for an example is how Venetian Snares holds songs together using violins atop heavily distorted percussion. In "No ID", the broken parts are the synth-lines and the predictable parts are the beats.
