Take To The Sky is a Blackened Symphonic Melodic Death band from Prosser, Washington. We founded Take To The Sky with the basis of having fun, write some sick stuff and be original in an ocean teaming with bands playing the same style of masturbatory breakdown metal. With wings spread, March of 2008 saw our creation as a band. Now, nine months later, we have returned with a self recorded EP of 6 songs, written since our formation, due to be released January of 2009. The EP was written with a concept in mind, nourished by misanthropy towards modern human ideologies, selfishness and stupidity. Each song is personal and part of a story, of an individual fed up with humanity, leading an awakening of the human race who would listen. Those who didn’t suffered the apocalypse. The account is loosely based on the year 2012 and a predicted change in human society. Civilization will either see its end, or be elevated to a new level of thought and wisdom. The decision is held by the individual, embodied by Erebus the Greek God of darkness who can shape shift into a massive black hole. The EP along with shirts will be available to purchase at local shows if we decide and are privileged to play any. They can also be ordered by contacting us by sending a message titled something like “I’d Like To Buy An EP/Shirt”. We can work out a form of payment and shipping. We are willing to perform at both Yakima and Tri-Cities. Take To The Sky was also created, secondly, to fulfill the requirements of the front man's, Dario Scotto, senior project. Although it was used as a school project, our sound, aggression, and lyrical themes were never compromised. If the band is successful and welcomed in the metal and local music community, we will continue sharpening our skills and vision of our band. Actually, fuck what any community thinks.
