Sponsored By Poverty is a two man comedy band from Bel Air, Maryland. Consisting of Brandon Pfeltz and Mike Perrie, they've been making comedy music since 2005. Both men play guitar and sing, and all songs are a joined collaboration of music and lyrics. Their songs contain elements of rape, awkward sexual attraction, homophobia, racism, and other hilarious topics. Their musical is generally enjoyed by those who do not have a huge stick up their ass. As you might have been able to tell, they do songs that are for adults, and then songs for children as well. They are available for christenings and strip clubs alike. Sponsored by Poverty recently did a taping for Comcast, won first place in Magooby's Comedy Club's 'New Talent Night', and has played many live gigs. Story behind the song
Mike and Brandon have been playing together now about four years, and they are closer than a g-string between two butt cheeks. They are really in bed together, so to say, over the band. Mike has always been behind Brandon through the toughest of times, and whenever Brandon has a hard day, Mike is always there, on his knees, praying for Brandon to pull through. Mike is very religious and was very close to his pastor as a child. Many people don't know that there is so much more to the friendship than meets the eye. This song is about that.
