Story behind the song
Written for a film called "Surviving In L.A." They wanted to use Santana's "Oye Como Va" but it exceeded the budget.

Aye Pobrecita Que chula Mija...Aye Pobrecita Vamos a bailar...Aye Pobrecita The literal translation for a word like; Mija...means 'my daughter' or 'my child'. However, in many a romantic contexts...or in this case a teasing-like context...It is used as a way of calling out to a woman; possessively, like a little girl...It's a bit Machismo, but that is the culture....Its a slang term, but it is clearly understood. Here is the English translation: Whats up little girl....You poor little thing. What do you want(or need),little girl...You poor little thing. How pretty you are little girl...You Poor little thing Come and lets dance....You poor little thing. Pobrecita...once again in this context in translated sarcastically.....Like, "Awwwh, you poor little thing, but your not really that down and out are you?'
