My first entry to a Kreative Community Challenge. And one I had great fun making.
One of the all time classic comedies. Being too young to
appreciate the original 70's series, I got into this years later. Its a show that just makes me laugh and laugh. You can see the gags a mile off but it defines an era (whether thats a good thing?)
This is the latest mix Ive done and includes samples of dialogue from the show. Enjoy.
Lyrics
His name was Stan
Just an ordinary man
He drove a bus
And he wasnt fussed
If he got on the wrong side
Of Inspector Blakey
Cos he was doing overtime
With the new clippie
Its a great life on the buses
Its a great life on the buses
His friend was Jack
Yhe conductor on back
With a toothy grin
You knew what he was thinking
If it wore a skirt, he'd chat her up
It didnt matter
Cos Stan had worse luck
Its a great life on the buses
Its a great life on the buses
CHORUS
Climb on board and take a ride
Go on top if you like
I'll show you a good time
On the buses, on the buses
Stans sister Olive
She looked pretty horrid
Married to Arthur
Had a motorbike and sidecar
He didnt work, he just did the crossword
He'd always moan
When Stan got home
Its a great life on the buses
Its a great life on the buses
If Stan was late
He'd answer to Inspector Blake
To make his life hell
Stop messing with the girls
And get this bus out
Before I fire you
Stan had to hurry up
For another clippie rendezvous
Its a great life on the buses
Its a great life on the buses
CHORUS
Stan lived at home
With Olive, Arthur and his old mum
They didnt have much money
Everything was bought on HP
It wasnt all bad
With so many hussies
You should know by now
Its a great life on the buses
Its a great life on the buses
Its a great life on the buses
CHORUS
