Truly great old-style gospel and certainly Christian singers (singas!) from the Denver metropolitan area.
This band showcases some incredibly talented Denver singers on two CD's, Mommy sings God's Love Vol 1 and Old School Church Vol 1. Instrumental music is mostly by keyboardist Chuck Abernethy, who produced the CD's. MSGLV1 was released in Dec., 2008. OSCV1 was released in Sept., 2004.

Lyrics
lyrics: Charles Wesley (1707-1788) music: MARTYRDOM, CM; Hugh Wilson (1766-1824) Father, I Stretch My Hands to Thee Intro (like the first and last lines of a verse) Verse 1 Father, I stretch my hands to Thee, No other help I know; If Thou withdraw Thyself from me, Ah! whither shall I go? Verse 2 What did Thine only Son endure, Before I drew my breath! What pain, what labor, to secure My soul from endless death! Verse 3 Surely Thou canst not let me die; O speak, and I shall live; And here I will unwearied lie, Till Thou Thy Spirit give. Verse 4 Author of faith to Thee I lift My weary, longing eyes: O let me now receive that gift! My soul without it dies. Verse 1 (END)
