White snow, blue sky, bright sun. Shining, simple, it warms and rises, a crisp breeze, a light in the eye, growing from a glimmer to a smile. What a beautiful day.

Hi. I'm Steve Ford and i make music. I am a multi-instrumentologist with a penchant for genre fcuknig. I am a musician / producer / songwriter / composer / wannabe sound designer. I hope to keep getting better at all of these things, and aspire to one day earn actual money doing it. I have written and recorded music in many, many genres and had some of my work featured in short films, video game demos, and websites. So far my biggest exposure has come from my involvement in the Pure Pwnage internet TV show. I pwn tunes. ...also, i like cheese.

Story behind the song
What a Beautiful Day. Lots of white snow left undisturbed on the ground from previous days, a crystal clear blue sky and a bright shining sun... Felt nice. I wanted to replicate it... the crispness, the simplicity, the warmth and the joy. The whole thing started with the super simple acoustic part that begins the tune, and proceeded pretty organically from there pretty much as the song is laid out... adding some mandolin, some simple drums, hearing the bassline come, feeling it pick up, the acoustic rhythm, the rising of it, filling in the spots with the fuzz electric and the U2esque delay guitar. Hrmm. For me at least, it ended up pretty nice and definitely representative of the afternoon.
