Acoustic rock and folk rock with country, blues, and American Songbook influences.
Formerly "Dr. C and the Stratocats," I'm now on a solo career as "Dr. C," but I had to change my stage name here because someone else had already claimed it. My music strives for melody above all else; I strive to make my songs memorable, so you can whistle a tune immediately. I see melody as the element most lacking in contemporaryr music. I love Sinatra and the Beatles, Gordon Lightfoot, Paul Simon, anyone who can write a memorable "tune."

Story behind the song
Don't know where it came from, truly.
Lyrics
To the Recipient I'm glad that you ordered your organs, I thought that your kidneys would pass. Whoever was riding the motorcycle Certainly saved your ass. I hope that the sutures are sterile And all of the tissues a match. Forgiver me if I seem puerile, But I hope the infection's past. Your equipment is quite the disclaimer For innocence lost in its task. I'd rather be victim than blamer But you don't know how much you ask. It's easy to riff on the moment But hard to be circumspect, too. It's hard to save Lancelot's honor But we can with a brick or two. The women cannot excuse it. They chatter about it like hens. The Puritans can't peruse it-- It smells too much like them. But smell is just a distraction Like buckles on Puritans' hats I'm told it was really the reason They often lost their pants.
