Acoustic rock and folk rock with country, blues, and American Songbook influences.
Formerly "Dr. C and the Stratocats," I'm now on a solo career as "Dr. C," but I had to change my stage name here because someone else had already claimed it. My music strives for melody above all else; I strive to make my songs memorable, so you can whistle a tune immediately. I see melody as the element most lacking in contemporaryr music. I love Sinatra and the Beatles, Gordon Lightfoot, Paul Simon, anyone who can write a memorable "tune."

Story behind the song
Looking back at my youth, I realized I missed some opportunities for romance, but now that I'm older, I think about the women I could have comforted but didn't--and now invite them to comfort.
Lyrics
Come to Daddy D Major When I was younger I was sad for all the lovers I never had for all the women who slept alone and all their dreams remained unknown As I grew older I often wished I had responded to every bliss but I was lacking in confidence and couldn't make the first advance. But come to Daddy, I'm still here Come to Daddy, I'm always near Come to Daddy, I may be old but I'll protect you like a shepherd does his fold Now I'm a grandpa, I like it there And all I have I mean to share Just like a daughter I'll hold you close And rock you into sweet repose Chorus Now every woman deserves a mate who will stand by her in every state who'll be a rock on shifting sand and a lifeboat always at hand Chorus
