We are the trans-Atlantic alliance of Bob Kingdon, from England and Eric Daum from New England. We are a virtual band inspired by the music of Bill Nelson, Power Pop and girls in short skirts and tight shirts. Bob handles the guitars, Eric, the keyboards, loops and programming as well as dabbling with his ancient Rickenbacker on a few songs. Both Bob and Eric sing and share songwriting. In addition, we sometimes set the poems of Carole Young, a Scottish poet to music.

Lyrics
Goodbye to All That Eric Inman Daum c. 2009 We watched the Gathering Storm The war clouds piled high Joined the cheering crowd Our loudest battle cry We sang so loud and strong Embraced the surging tide How could our cause be wrong For God stood by our side Goodbye To All That There's No going back The Glittering lights Have vanished from sight Goodbye To All That There's no turning back The Dazzling Days Have vanished in the haze Over the Top We Ran While machine guns mowed us down Deep into No Man’s Land Our Dreams have gone to Ground Buried Deep we hear the thud When the bombs and rockets fall Our brothers churned to mud The Pity of it All Goodbye To All That There's No going back The Glittering lights Have vanished from our sight Goodbye To All That There's no turning back The Dazzling Days Have vanished in the haze And now the poppy fields Have all turned to red The endless crosses mark The rows of nameless dead In quiet times the drum did beat Death pursues all who flee It is neither nor fitting nor sweet To die for one's country Goodbye To All That There's No going back The Glittering lights Have vanished from our sight Goodbye To All That There's no turning back The Dazzling Days Have vanished in the haze

Love the intro! Starting with unusual instrumentation and swinging into more expected format, it quickly sets just the right mood for the vocal. Which is excellent! Strongly and perfect intonation it's nice to hear a natural strong vocal comming clearly and honestly with the lyrics. The chorus is memorable which is always a good sign. The instrumental break quite in character and the entire track stays in character very well while it tells a hopeful story.
