An orginal ballad based on a true story from skripture. The instruments used are guitar, fretless bass, and hammer dulcimer.
Story behind the song
The disciples on the way to Emmaus finally recognized Jesus in the "breaking of the bread", which is the Eucharist. It was in the small town of Emmaus, Pennsylvania that my eyes also were opened to Jesus recognizing Him in the Eucharist in the Catholic Church. This song is about the apostles after the crucifixion, but more so about all who recognize Jesus in the Eucharist.
