LIFE ON MY TERMS
Glare has blinded my train of thought
Rays bounce off a scope that’s fixed
At taking a choice away
At choosing a path for me, but
My fate tonight, will end up in these hands
Death is welcome sooner for those who understand
Don’t lose faith in those closest to you
A sun still sets in the west
A vein still carries hope from this old wound
An amendment for ignorance
Has yet to be written
Decisions overwhelm those
Not fit to make them
No matter what this life belongs to me
To me, to me
Forget what you think you know
Write off what you think is best
This tale was never taught in books
This life in mine, this life belongs to me
