Story behind the song
The Original Onyx. James Latimer - Lead Guitar, & Vocals. Tony Wiese - Guitar, & Lead Vocals. Jack Mondlak - Keyboards. John Flannagan - Bass Guitar. Bob Holzner - Drums, & Percussion. This song was recorded live at the Parkside Inn on September 8, 1979. This was usually our third song in the set (as it was this night). Recorded by Mike Mills with assistance from Phil Sypniewski. This song is a combination of three songs that we played when Glenn Spence was our lead guitarist. We took parts of these three songs - Now I know, Can You Hear Me, and Burning one and created an instrumental song called - Now I Know You Can Hear Me Burning One, lol. Since this was quite the mouth-full to say we decided to shorten the name of the song to simply - N.Y.B..
