If you find yourself cruising the universe alone be careful that your space craft has had its billion mile check-up, and that you've got a full reactor.
aliens
Science fiction has always facinated me, and over 30 years ago I wrote a poem about an alien who crashed into a moon and died. It's a terrible thing to be alone.
Lyrics
INTO A MOON
Crashed into a moon on Tuesday
Sat and watched the dust lay down
Crawled from his ship on Tuesday
And turned his eyes around
And turned his eyes around
Knelt into a moon on Tuesday
Raised his hand from his eye
Wondered if it was Tuesday
And soon began to cry
And soon began to cry
And he cried for he was lost
Yes he cried for he?d been tossed
And his home was far away
And his life went quickly gray
And his home was far away
And his life went quickly gray
Into a moon he crashed on a Tuesday
He saw his mother waving him over
But when he called out she did not answer
He watched the star dust swirl ?round about him
Crashed into a moon on Tuesday
Thought he was home again
Swore he knew this place on Tuesday
Thought he saw a friend
Thought he saw a friend
Lay into a moon on Tuesday
Never felt this way before
Closed his eyes on a Tuesday
Then he breathed no more
Then he breathed no more.
And he died but was not lost
Yes he died but was not tossed
And his home not far away
And his life no longer gray
And his home not far away
And his life no longer gray
Into a moon he crashed on a Tuesday
He saw his mother waving him over
But when he called out she did not answer
He watched the star dust swirl ?round about him
Into a moon he crashed on a Tuesday
He saw his mother waving him over
But when he called out she did not answer
He watched the star dust swirl ?round about him
