Long Road
It’s been a long road
To be where I want to be.
Too many winding curves,.........not enough straight aways.
Too many ups and downs,.....full of pot holes.
Filled with promises of better days.
But I made it on my own.
No help from anyone.
Spent a lot of sleepless nights
Playing in bars and honky tonks.
Sleeping in my car under the morning sun.
No money for a soft bed.
Barely enough for food.
Backpack for a pillow.
And no one to talk too.
But I made it to where I want to be.
A long road from home.
A lot of miles I have wondered
Just my Guitar case and me.
