Story behind the song
I ran into an old girlfriend the other day. We were never in love, we just really enjoyed each other's company. We never had an argument, we just sort of grew apart and stopped seeing each other. Nothing but sweet memories of that relationship!
Lyrics
I remember those cold November mornings When the frost lay heavy on the grass I'd stick my head out of the covers And you'd be there to greet me with a kiss And we'd share the day doing much of nothing As "I Love You's" floated on the air Sitting on the porch snuggled in a blanket As the winter breeze flowed through your hair I remember those long hot days of summer It seemed you could squeeze the water from the air And we'd go walking through the meadows Laughing like we didn't have a care And we'd share the day doing much of nothing As "I Love You's" floated through the air Rocking on the porch in a glider As the balmy breeze flowed on your hair
