Story behind the song
My teenage Metal Rock son didn't think I could do rock so I created this little number out of spite, lol! He actually likes it surprisingly....I love you son!
Lyrics
"Black Heart" By Olivia Francis (c) 2009 BMI ~ARR~ You drag me down to the pit of your despair cause you're too far gone to even care it's true, you take me for a fool but in the end you are the one who will lose Chorus you have a black heart no light is in your soul Black Heart, everything you touch turns to stone and i won't let you lead me to the place where love can't survive I'm leaving your black heart while I'm still alive Black heart Darkness is your companion You love her more than me so take your pain and wallow alone in her bed of misery Chorus you have a black heart there is no light in your soul Black Heart, everything you touch turns to stone i won't let you lead me to the place love can't survive I'm leaving you and your black heart while I'm still alive Black heart Black heart Black Heart You've got a black heart, Yeah! do you believe I owe you every breath I breathe what you call love leaves me empty...Yeah! Black heart, Black heart, Black heart You've got a black heart Black heart, Black heart, Black heart, Black heart OOOOOOOOHHHHHHHH! Black heart!

HI Olivia, WOW!!! What happened. You left the country and are a rocking out. Love it. I do hear vocally a similiarity to Stevie Nicks as well. Great this is so different. I really like it.

Hello I saw your post on a friends page and decided to get a taste of your music.I hear in this song that I started with a good song.Very nice, so your son likes Korn, LOL. I wrote a song about a experience I had in a Mosh pit while taking my daughter many years ago to a Korn concert big mistake long story, this song sounds a lot and I mean a lot like Fleetwood Mac esp Nicky, nice job, I see this is not the norm for you, hate to tell you, but wow, if not your style, a great job, nice mix, production, mastering love the vox FX a station add for sure great job. The things we do for our kids, mine are to old to impress anymore, out and in the world. It was nice when I could impress them and play music with them I miss that.Off to give some other spins. Peace, Daniel I see my good friend Cary posted to this song, great man and a great country music performer.

Hey....a nice re-direction into the "rock" genre! You make the conversion very nicely. Good work Turquoise Rose! I'm already looking forward to your next production.
