Story behind the song
As I discussed on the previous track, 'Mixed Nuts'- I had set out to make something mellow and ambient. Didn't quite happen that time so this time I decided to pick up where I left off, desire-wise. So I started whippin this baby up. The idea was basically an attempt to capture the serene beauty that can be found in a summer storm. The energy, the excitement, the intensity. These things are commonly what is thought of when someone sees a thunderstorm. Though, once a few years back while I was sitting outside, smoking a cigarette at work one night during one of the many missions we had that year a really big storm hit us and I just sat there looking up at it all. This is when I saw the other, softer side of the storm. It was almost like I could see people dacing to the waltz in classic renaissance attire (powdered wigs and all). At that moment I felt an extreme rush of peace and tranquility. From then on I always saw these storms differently. I'll never forget that! I hope yall can somehow capture just a small piece of that when you listen to this. And are able to walk away somewhat uplifted, as that storm did for me. Later on!
