Story behind the song
I just get on stage singing my original lyrics and play my 1969 Gibson EB-3 bass where various other musicians join me and add to the music ( as I am hereby inviting you to do ). Whoever is interested and would like to further their musical experience in the fine art of composing original music, be it playing along with me and adding your interpretation to the tunes, or composing your own with a group of your friends, the object here is to encourage original music at the open mic jams. The system I have developed as a way to make new music lends itself well to helping up and coming artists to meet new up and coming artists through an experience in a jam environment. By encouraging musicians to partake in my system, new relationships are formed, and a network of musicians can be drawn on to form new bands playing original music in the venues that are home to the jamming musicians.
