A sad song about a little lost gnome.

We started out in Medieval England and slowly evolved into a lean mean music making machine
Merlin and the Gnometones were a garageband from the sixties. They toured the US playing for small audiences, living day to day. They recorded over 70 songs using what ever equipment they could borrow. Recently, a tape was discovered with 30 of their original recordings. (Ironically in a garage sale) They have been digitally remastered and posted here for your enjoyment. Seriously, I am a non-performing songwriter just trying to get his music out to people who may enjoy it. Most of it falls into the classic rock genre, but there is a little bit of everything here. Thanks to anyone who takes the time to listen.

Lyrics
There's a little boy Who has no place to go His mother is dead And his father is stoned With his little toy He treads through the snow Nothing is said He walks all alone The midnight hour falls Upon this dreary land A little boy sleeps In a garbage can No worried voice calls Or tries to demand The little boy weeps As only he can **Chorus** Give him comfort Give him a home Give him a bed He can call his own Misery and hurt Is all he knows Give him love And then watch him grow The morning sun shines And warms up the air A trolley car bell's The only sound heard Under a street sign In pain and despair Feeling like hell At Main Street and Third There's nothing to eat Or warm up his bones He needs a friend To watch over him On the cold concrete A little boy moans He won't break or bend But his hope grows dim **Chorus** Give him comfort Give him a home Give him a bed He can call his own Misery and hurt Is all he knows Give him love And then watch him grow Give him comfort Give him a home Give him love And then watch him grow
