If you like 80s dance, you'll like this. It's a retro sounding groove shaker for the dancefloor.

An interplanetary blend of pop, dance, urban and ballads with an enigmatic style that draws you in with lyrics and vocals that sometimes soar like Bowie or Gaha
When Saturn was five, if you awoke early enough on a Sunday morning, you'd catch him outside on the porch, his tiny feet buried in his grandmother's high heels and her Sunday hat falling lopsided on his head, singing out his favorite gospel hymns to the top of his lungs. Fast forward twenty years and he's lost the heels and the hat, but he's still singing. Writing songs that run the gamut of genres from pop to dance to urban, Saturn infuses his own funky blend of pop/urban music with a raw edge and sensuality that is heavily influenced by such icons as Prince and Madonna. "It's a sultry, pop-laden mix that is a throwback to the late "80s sound. Think R&B. Think jazz. Think club music think again! It's ART." (Ed Mannix, Outmusic) Though Saturn started writing songs when he was 12, it wasn't until much later he decided to step out on faith and pursue his dream of music. He graduated with honors from Texas Christian University with a degree in TV/Film/Theatre. He's had leading roles in numerous professional shows including "Six Degrees of Separation", "Angels in America", and "Much Ado About Nothing", and he's also starred in the Independent films "Playin' for the Kitty" and "The Last Days of Winter". While busy acting, he won awards with his short stories and screenplays and worked alongside J. Todd Harris (producer of the recent "Urbania") for J. Todd Harris Productions in LA. Not until 2002 did Saturn decide to finally try his hand at music and produce an album. After re-locating to his birthplace of Baltimore, MD, Saturn formed his own label SJG Entertainment and began to create his first CD. The studio he found that could fit his budget was actually a basement and consisted of a Yamaha AW4416 Hard Disk Recorder, an AKAI MPC 2000 XL MIDI, and a Marshal microphone. Using only his Yamaha PSR-540 home keyboard Saturn played all the music, sang all the vocals and produced all the songs to his debut, "The Virgin Poet". Released independently in July 2002, The Virgin Poet proved to be quite a unique experience to listeners and defied being placed in a genre. In support of the album, Saturn performed solo at open mics, Pride Festivals in DC, Baltimore, and Philadelphia, most recently appeared at the Meow Mix in Manhattan and Ed Mannix's "A Circle of Berdaches" in Brooklyn. The most notable performance was a full concert which he produced at Eubie Blake National Institute of Jazz in May 2003. Also in 2003, Saturn was honored to be a featured artist on Audiofile. Audiofile is a segment of "This Way Out", a gay and lesbian radio news magazine that is broadcast nationally on over 130 stations. Songs from "The Virgin Poet" receive airplay on 91.7 FM KOOP Austin, TX and KPFT 90.1 FM in Houston, TX as well independent webcast stations. These days Saturn is busy at work on a new CD, is still performing when he can, and will embark on a search for dancers, musicians, and a manager to take him to the next level of his career. With only one year in the indie music biz, he's turning heads, raising eyebrows and looking forward to what is shaping up to be long and promising career.

Lyrics
“The Alley” If you’re looking 4 the alley What u waiting 4? Come around. Come around. If you’re looking 4 some fun, You’ll need 2 look no more. Come around. Come around. Welcome to the Flowerlife. Here is where u can be Whoever u wanna be. So leave your worries And your motherfucking judgements at the door. All u pretty boys, And all u sexy girls. Everybody here tonight, Everybody’s a star! U know where 2 find me In a world of lost souls. I’ll be writing in the gutter With my pockets full of hope. Been hustling 4 the street life, Sex on my mind. Been looking 4 the Flowerlife 4 a good time. When you’re all alone, The world’s a lot colder And everything u want Is an escape from the coldness. When you’re body’s crying out Your mind and soul will follow. This could be the night That we never see tomorrow. And u just wanna dance, Like everybody, dance. And u just wanna feel With everybody, feel. And u just wanna play, Just wanna feel romance. You’re looking 4 escape? Then come inside And dance, dance, dance. If you’re looking 4 the alley What u waiting 4? Come around. Come around. If you’re looking 4 some fun, You’ll need 2 look no more. Come around. Come around. If you’re looking 4 your family What u waiting 4? Come around. Come around. If u want a sexy body, Need 2 look no more. Come around, come around Cuz this is where you’ll find me. This is where you’ll find me. U know where 2 find me. Open up your eyes And see what it’s about. U know where 2 find me. All u pretty boys, Amd all u sexy girls. Everybody, Everybody’s a star. U know where 2 find me, In the center of the floor. I am this spectacular And I bet u didn’t know it. Everybody’s dancing Cause the music feels so good. The hard bass is sexual, I’m already feeling wood. Underneath the lights I’m feeling like a star, It’s magical when I see u dancing there. I got 2 get yo’ body beautiful. The planets are aligned When your celestial skin’s next to mine. So, grind, baby, grind me, Grind, grind, grind, grind. Now, all u motherfuckers against the wall, That’s not allowed here in the alley. Ya’ll not getting’ next 2 me tonight. So, everybody, everybody dance! Dance! I don’t think u heard me, dance! Come on, this is where we get down. Forget those crazy people With eyes turning wild at u. Forget the world, It’s claws trying 2 rip at u. Here on the floor U can come 2 life. Sweat is your salvation For a single night. U can leave the drama, Leave all the pain. Welcome to the Flowerlife Where we begin again. Not just about the sex, We’re defined by more. Here in this dark alley We begin to soar So high! Come on now! Don’t be afraid of This feeling deep inside u. Look at me, I just want u 2 dance. Want your body, work your body. Want your body, work your body. Hey, there, sexy baby. U got my attention. U got me feeling like a slut And I need some intervention. Damn. Am I still a virgin? U just wait and see. U just might got what I need To bring the nasty poet out of me! Dance! Oooh, I just wanna feel u, Feel your rhythm. Feel your sweat. Your pulsating body, Hot and wet. I just wanna dance. Dance 2 your electricity. Dance! Dance hard. Dance deep. You’re so hard. Let’s get deep. Come on. Come on. Come on. Come on. Come on. -Saturn
