Here is a little about myself: TOM TRIPP's love for country music can be traced back to his growing up on a small Kansas dirt farm. Tom was the youngest of seven children. His father was a storyteller (as his father was, and his father before him). Tom's father and mother both worked hard to keep their family fed. At the end of a long day, his father would sit next to the old coal-burning stove and tell stories about growing up in the coalfields of southeast Kansas, and of his many adventures in life. Tom learned the art of storytelling at an early age in life, and it can be heard in the stories and songs he writes today. Tom has traveled across every state in the USA but two... Alaska and Hawaii. When asked why he hasn't visited those states yet, Tom just smiles and says: "I always leave the best for last, and my life is far from over." Tom has looked down upon this old earth from the top of the Rocky Mountains. He has watched the sun rise and set over two oceans. He has traveled through the hot desert and walked upon the frozen ponds of the northland, but he has always returned to Kansas... the place where he hangs his hat. Tom Tripp is the proud parent of 4 grown children , Jason , Chris , Nicole and Gina and a Grandfather of 4.

Lyrics
"Before You Go" Written by Edward A Gowens/Tom Tripp BMI (Music Intro) (Verse one) (soft spoken) I hear the front door open up as you are coming home I hear your footsteps coming down, that long lonely hall. I know you're here just to tell me goodbye then you'll be gone again and I'll just set here and cry But before you go ..there something I just got to say.... (Chorus) (sung) (bring music up) Before you go, ....let me hold you ....one more time I want to feel your warm and tender body ..next to mine Let me hold you close, just the way we use to do....you know I"ll always love you Before you go, ..Let me hold you .. one last time ( Instrumental) (soft Spoken) You say goodbye and then you start walking towards that door and then you stop turn around and toss your wedding ring,..upon the floor When you're gone, I know you won't be coming home again and all I'll have left of you ..is our memories blowing in the wind Before you go there something I just got to say....to you (Chorus) (Sung) (bring music up) Before you go, ....let me hold you ....one more time I want to feel your warm and tender body ..next to mine Let me hold you close, just the way we use to do....you know I"ll always love you Before you go, ..Let me hold you just.. one last time (Tag) (Sung) Hold me close just like we use to do.... (softly spoken) you know I'll always love you (Spoken sadly) Before you go, come and let me hold you one ..last time (fade)..Before You Go....
