Representing the town of Portsmouth in the Nature Island of the Caribbean Dominica W.I. Rogers Gin, aka 'Ras Khaleel' has been on the music locale for 10yrs. He begun the authentic life as a lead vocalist with the 'Seramix Band' performing weekly on a French yacht, primarily for European tourists. Ras Khaleel has executed genres such as Soca, Zouk, Kompa, Reggae, just to name a few. In 2004, he composed & recorded his firts song 'is it forever?' on the band's 'Back on track' album. The band went on to perform on the main stage at the 2004's Annual World Creole Music Festival, with artists such as Carimi & Rupee. He later, in 2005, co-founded the 'AftaShok Band' performing in that year's annual week long 'Creole in the Park'. Due to the swivels of life, he now resides in NY, where his love for music remains extraordinary. Ras Khaleel performs as a back up vocalist for 'Phil Nessy & D'cuttin Edge', while building a fan base and perfecting new tracks such as 'One Big Load' & 'Tink aBout the Yutesâ'.
