Story behind the song
This is the first song I ever wrote. I wrote it for my final project for my 9th grade English class. I can't remember the lyrics, and I don't have a copy of them anywhere. However, the first verse was about how I thought Atticus from "To Kill A Mockingbird" was a hero, where the second was about Odysseus from "The Odyssey" (hence the name, "Hero"). Looking back on it now, I can't believe I made this song with what I used! I was using Cool Edit 96, which is a sound editting program, NOT a music program. I was also using a Yamaha acoustic guitar plugged straight into my computer (which is why the guitar sounds awful). I had a crappy Casio keyboard that I used for basic sounds. The rest of the sounds have various origins. Some came from the PC game "Netstorm," some I made from scratch, and the rest are just sounds I found elsewhere and distorted the crap out of!
