When Jesus went into the temple to drive out the priests making money off the people, he took a whip with him. I'd like to be as effective as that whip. I'd like to see the music I write allow people to take the mask off, and the junk that's in their eyes, to see the world, God, and themselves in a different way. A real way. Something that isn't tainted by religion, image, and false impressions. I would really like to develop a band, but mostly I just want people to have a chance to hear what I'm about.

Story behind the song

There was a period in my life when I was searching for God. I went to many different churches, functions, visited people i knew. i couldn't believe they couldn't recognize how desperate i was for something real, and hopeless i was to live in sin.  I was fortunate to find a friend who knew what to do.  It was such a long time coming, i wondered how many of us really recognize when someone really needs our help...and if we have something to offer them.

The stained glass windows of a city church is to high class for a girl like her. She knows she won't belong. Her heart is poundin as she climbs the stairs. when she walks in her hands start to sweat.  She stops, and hesitates.  She's been told all her life that she don't belong, by an ugly little voice inside her head.  it took all she had just to come there once. If it don't work out then she'll be gone.

cause this could be a mistake. or this might be her last chance to find hope, to find God. So tell her all about how u got saved. tell her all about when Jesus came, and set u free...ya he set u free. when u were livin in the world all alone, carrying the weight of what you've done. but u know what God can do...cause He did it in you.

His best friend is what's in his pipe. when it wears off he can't stand the sight he sees in the mirror.  He's looked for love about everywhere from the Lutheran church to city square. Now, he's given up. But he runs into a friend that asks him how he's been. As he lifts his eyes he tries to hide the mess. holding back tears tryin to act so tough, all he really wants is just to give up..

but this could be a mistake, or this could be his last chance to find hope to find God...
